How it works

How does it work?

  • The AI-Assistant, powered by Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), pairs large-language models with live data search to deliver fast, context-aware answers from a structured knowledge base.

  • Relevant insights are pulled on-the-fly by a retrieval model that unites a vector database and a knowledge graph.

  • Embeddings speed up semantic search, while the knowledge graph links entities for deeper context.

What are the key work areas?

Our project is focused on creating a robust knowledge base and providing seamless user interaction. Here are the core areas we’re working on:

Interviews with students

Gathering firsthand experiences and advice from current students.

Interviews with alumni

Tapping into the expertise of graduates who have navigated university life and the career world.

Web scraping

Aggregating relevant data from university and external sources.

Data processing and knowledge base creation

Organizing all the gathered information into a structured, searchable database.

RAG implementation

Utilizing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to provide contextually relevant responses.

Integration with GUI

Developing a user-friendly chatbot interface for easy communication and information retrieval.
